mouse strain Rosa26{(TetO.Sox9)Msan} mouse strain A mouse strain in which part or all of the targeted gene, gene trap ROSA 26, Philippe Soriano (NCBI Gene ID: 14910) is replaced to create Sox9 using the Loxed Cassette Acceptor allele Rosa26{tm1(LCA)}). This mouse line contains bidirectional TetO-regulated genes inserted into the Rosa26{LCA} allele by RMCE. In one direction, the TetO/CMV promoter drives the expression of the transcription factor Sox9. In the other direction, it drives the expression of the red fluorescent protein mCherry. In this mouse line, when the effector protein rtTA is expressed, Sox9 and mCherry will be over-expressed simultaneously upon administration of doxycyline. Person: Mark A.
