This cell is derived from a CV-1 cell line, obtained by transfection of SV40 encoding a wild-type T antigen with a starting point defect mutation; a single copy of the complete early segment of the SV40 genome is integrated. The cells express T antigen, suitable for transfection of vectors requiring expression of SV40 T antigen; the cells retain the properties of SV40 lytic growth and support replication of temperature sensitive A209 virus at 40 ℃, and support the transfection of SV40 pure body at early segment deletion.
