This cell line is derived from CV-1 cell line and is obtained by transfected with SV40 virus mutant with deletion of starting point; it encodes for expression of wild-type T antigen, so the cell is suitable as a transfection host for vector requiring expression of SV40 T antigen. The cells express T antigen, allowing soluble growth of SV40 virus, supporting replication of temperature-sensitive A209 virus at 40℃, and supporting replication of SV40 mutants with starting region defects.
