The original morphology of the cells did not have the characteristics of small cell lung cancer. This cell line was a biochemical and morphological variant of small cell lung cancer, expressing neuron-specific enolase and brain-type creatine kinase isoenzymes. And the level of L-dopa decarboxylase, bombyxin, antidiuretic hormone, oxytocin and gastrin-releasing peptide was too low to detect. Compared with normal cells, the c-myc DNA sequence amplication increased about 20 times while that of RNA increasing 15 times.
