In the tritocerebrum, there is no clear distinction between the dorsomedial and dorsolateral domains (Hartenstein et al., 2018). It is found at the same level as the dorsomedial domain; dorsal to the central domain (which contains the C1-3 fascicles) and the centrolateral domain (Hartenstein et al., 2018). It can be distinguished from the dorsomedial domain based on the absence of the dorsal commissural bundles (Hartenstein et al., 2018).
