A large portion of its input is from antennal lobe projection neurons and it responds to olfactory stimuli (Dolan et al., 2018). Some of these cells receive input from mushroom body vertical lobe arborizing neuron 2 alpha (MBON-alpha2sc) and they may be involved in memory (Dolan et al., 2018).
