obsolete adult fruitless aSP4 (female) lineage clone 2015-08-07T16:55:57Z true A clone of neurons in the adult female brain that expresses fruitless, whose cell bodies are located between the anterior optic tubercle and the ventrolateral protocerebrum, immediately medial to aSP5 lineage clone. A neurite projects ventrally before turning dorsally and extends superficially along the arch to the contralateral hemisphere. Arbors span the lateral junction. Females do not have extensive arbors in the ring structure. These clones were obtained by FLP recombinase, combining a fru[FLP] allele (FBal0248671) and several GAL4 drivers whose expression includes subsets of fruitless neurons (Yu et al., 2010).
