Individuals belonging to the movement typically oppose the distinction between sex and gender, oppose the ability for transgender persons (especially children) to access appropriate medical care, oppose discussion of gender theory and studies in schools, and oftentimes hold other relatively conservative views, such as opposing same-sex marriage.
