The exact nature of the accompanying thioredoxin is not settled, but it is predicted to be TrxA. The whole methionine-MsrA/B-thioredoxin-and-reductase system is an important part of NO detoxification in <i>Mtb</i> (St John et al. 2001, Lee et al. 2009).
