The C-11 oxygen radical initiates intramolecular rearrangement, resulting in either the formation of thromboxane A2 (TXA2) or 12-hydroxyheptadecatrienoic acid (12S-HHT) and malonaldehyde (MDA) (Wang et al. 2001).
