The tumour suppressor PTEN is the primary phospholipid phosphatase. The role of other phosphoinositide phosphatases (INPP5D, INPPL1, INPP5K, PTPRQ, INPP4B) in the negative regulation of PI3K/AKT signaling will be described in future editions of Reactome.
