CCR1 was the first CC chemokine receptor identified (Neote K et al, 1993) and can bind multiple chemokines. CCR1 is found on blood lymphocytes and monocytes. CCR2 is found on monocytes, B cells, activated memory T cells and basophils (Yamagami S et al, 1994). CCR8 is found mainly in the thymus (Tiffany HL et al, 1997).
