In addition, in in vitro studies, STRAP was shown to interact individually with both TGFBR1 and TGFBR2 in the absence of TGF-beta stimulation (Datta et al. 1998). This was inferred from experiments using recombinant mouse Strap with recombinant human TGF-beta receptors.
