The right coronary artery normally arises from the right sinus of Valsalva (RSV) of the ascending aorta. The left main coronary artery (LMCA) normally arises from the left sinus of Valsava. The third sinus, the right posterior aortic sinus does not normally give rise to a coronary artery. Origin of the right coronary artery (RCA) from the left sinus of Valsalva or of the left main (LM) or left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery from the right sinus of Valsalva.
