Neonatal seizure with electrographic correlate Neonatal electrographic only seizure 2020-03-17T06:28:15Z Neonatal electrographic only seizure is an electrographic event with sudden, repetitive, evolving stereotyped waveforms with a beginning and an end, which is not associated with a clinical manifestation. The duration of the seizures has to be sufficient to demonstrate evolution in frequency and morphology of the discharges on electroencephalography, which will depend on the frequency of the discharge. The duration is arbitrary but needs to be sufficient to allow recognition of onset, evolution and resolution of an abnormal discharge. This type of seizure is particular to the neonatal period; beyond this electrographic appearance of a seizure must be associated with a clinical correlate to be classed as a seizure.
