<rdfs:comment>Human immunoglobulin molecules are built up by a pair of identical heavy chains, identifying the immunoglobulin class (namely Gamma, Alpha, Mu, Delta and Epsilon), and by a pair of identical light chains, Kappa or Lambda alternatively, characterizing the immunoglobulin type. In humans, under normal conditions, Kappa light chains represent approximately 2/3 of the light chains of total immunoglobulins, both circulating and lymphocyte surface bound. This terms represents a situation in which all circulating immunoglobulins have the lambda chain and none have the kappy chain. Only a few cases of K deficiency inhumans have been reported, perhaps because Kdeficiency does not have a drastic effect on the health of the individual lambda chains seem able to substitute effectively.</rdfs:comment>
