Infants usually present with respiratory distress and older patients with heartburn, abdominal pain, vomiting and/or malena. Vertebral anomalies in the lower cervical spine, with CNS involvement, are frequently present and complications, such as bowel obstruction, perforation and intussusception, have also been reported.
