A phenotypic variant of Bartter syndrome presenting antenatally with maternal polyhydramnios, pre-term delivery and postnatally with polyuria, and nephrocalcinosis. Hypokalemic alkalosis, increased levels of plasma renin and aldosterone, low blood pressure and vascular resistance to angiotensin II are characteristically associated.
