mesure of calibration mean calibration A measure of calibration that is the average of a function of the difference between the expected values and the observed values. For predictive modeling of non-continuous variables, the mean calibration is a measure of calibration that is the average of a function of the difference between the expected probabilities and the observed frequencies. The expected values may be computed (as in predictive models) or may be derived from reference data (as typical for a measurement device).
