<ns2:IAO_0000115>FIGARO is the low-dose ⁶⁰Co gamma irradiation facility at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), managed by CERAD CoE, with a campus gamma irradiation history dating back to 1952; the current low-dose facility opened in 2003 and was upgraded to a climate-controlled facility in 2012 with DoReMi support. The 12 Ci Co-60 source provides a continuous dose-rate field from 3 Gy/h down to 400 μGy/h, enabling simultaneous acute to chronic exposure of multiple test organisms — cells, fish, mussels, earthworms, plants and small rodents — alongside other stressors such as metals and UV. The facility is licensed for GMOs and open for international collaboration; it has ScanClime and Innovive rack access for small rodent studies. Located at Centre for Environmental Radioactivity (CoE CERAD).</ns2:IAO_0000115>
