Melanoma Res. 2012, 1, 77-85 The French Haemangioma Biobank was established through collaborations between INSERM (U1018, Florent de Vathaire) and CEA, collecting peripheral blood lymphocytes, DNA and cytogenetic slides from T- and B-cells of 369 individuals from the French Haemangioma Cohort (8,335 subjects, of whom 5,744 were treated with radiotherapy using brachytherapy sources or X-rays for childhood skin haemangioma). The biobank supports studies on long-term cancer risks following low-dose radiation in childhood, cytogenetic markers of exposure and individual radiosensitivity.
