radiation epidemiology cohort French Haemangioma Cohort The French Haemangioma Cohort (FHC) comprises 8,335 subjects (5,744 treated with radiotherapy) who received brachytherapy (Ra-226, P-32, Y-90, Sr-90) or X-ray irradiation for skin haemangioma in childhood, making it exceptional for studying long-term cancer and non-cancer risks following low-dose radiation exposure early in life. The cohort has demonstrated increased risks of malignant melanoma, breast cancer and cardiovascular disease, providing key evidence for estimating radiogenic risk at low doses. An associated biobank of 369 individuals' peripheral blood lymphocytes, DNA and cytogenetic samples is available for collaborative research. Located at INSERM/Gustave Roussy.
