radiation epidemiology cohort TRACY cohort Samson E. et al., BMJ Open 2016;6:e010316 Paul Schofield The TRACY cohort holds individual data on 12,649 workers employed between 1958 and 2006 in French companies involved in nuclear fuel production, monitored for both external gamma and internal alpha radiation (uranium) exposure at low doses over prolonged periods. Dose reconstruction protocols for internal exposure were developed in collaboration with other European groups within DoReMi/CONCERT. Published results have shown associations between uranium exposure and lung and kidney cancer, contributing to the evidence base for occupational radiation risk assessment for internal emitters.
