radiation dosimetry model PENELOPE-2008 Paul Schofield PENELOPE (PENetration and Energy LOss of Positrons and Electrons) is a Monte Carlo simulation code for modelling the transport of electrons, positrons and photons in matter, used at BfS for dosimetry calculations, shielding assessments and detector response modelling in radiation protection research. The 2008 version provides improved cross-section data and variance reduction techniques for efficient simulation of radiation transport in complex geometries.
