molecule GADD45 The MyD118/CR6/Gadd45 gene family (also termed Gadd45b, Gadd45g, Gadd45a) encodes for small (18 kd), evolutionary conserved proteins that are highly homologous to each other (55 57% overall identity at the amino acid level), are highly acidic (pI=4.0 4.2), and are primarily localized within the cell nucleus. MyD118/CR6/GADD45 serve similar, but not identical, functions along different apoptotic and growth inhibitory pathways.
