Kho Lan Wau Lan Kho lan is in Animalia kingdom with Chordata phylum and Vertebrata subphylum.The major group is raised in central part of Thailand, especially, Phechaburi province Rachaburi province and Kanchanabur iprovince. They were raised for agriculture and culture for a long time. In the past, farmers used them as draught animal, such as plowing and vehicles. They were used for racing after harvesting time, as Wing lan. Now, this sport can keep them sustainable. And they are raised for food. Their manure are used as fertilyzer in crop land. By the major reason of racing, they have a small population size. Department of Livestock Deverlopment arranges for in situ consevation program by raising in research and breeding center/station of DLD. They have red, fawn, dark brawn , black color.
