breed reported in geographic location Small East African Goat (Goat) Luguru, United Republic of Tanzania (Goat) https://www.fao.org/dad-is The Luguru goats have been evolved from the Small East African Goat in 1970s and these are believed to be crosses of the Small East African Goat with the exotic dairy breeds (Saanen, Anglonubian and now Norwegian goats), but they have their characteristics of having large, muscled body, long horns, well developed udder and distinct white color with black and brown patches. It was also informed that meat goats such as Boer and Blended were also used to cross to develop the Luguru goats. Luguru The concept of “breed reported in geographic location by FAO National Coordinators” is unique to DAD-IS (https://www.fao.org/dad-is/en/).
