The Same district where the Pare goats are in majority is at the border with Kenya, and it was found that goat breeds from Kenya (such as Galla) were used to crossbreed with the Small East African Zebu to form the Pare goats and selection for white color and good body confirmation have led to its distinctive characteristic of whilte body color.
