In Poland geese have been selected since 1963, when they were bought in the number of 140 ganders and 240 geese in the Maly Klincz farm in 1981. The evaluation of health and exterior was done in 1982. They were included into the geese genetic resources and evaluated in terms of reproduction and meat performance in the same year. Breeding documentation has been conducted since 1982.
