This VBO term should therefore be used specifically for the breed conforming to this concept. VBO:0010122 Geese were bought in Denmark in 1978 from Danish Poultry Houses Company. Breeding material come from pedigee flock and was characterized by high reproduction rate, good musculature and fatness. Included into the geese genetic resources in 1980 and from that time evaluated in terms of reproduction and meat performance. Breeding documentation is conducted since 1980.
