Due to favourable geographical and political position of Me√Ñ‚Äòimurje on the break between 18 and 19th century, the progressive motions and change in Middle Europe significantly influenced the economic life of Me√Ñ‚Äòimurje. During the same period the basic autochtonous population was used as a establishment for creation of the Me√Ñ‚Äòimurje horse, systematic introduction of Ardennes, Percheron, Flamman and to smaller extent Barbant and Burgoindese studs. This horse was extremely valued as a transport horse or horse for pulling heavy cargo's. Me√Ñ‚Äòimurje horse is mentioned almost in all hipology lexicons and atlases of the world.
