breed reported in geographic location Coloured Merino (Sheep) Merynos barwny, Poland (Sheep) https://www.fao.org/dad-is The flock of Coloured Merino was developed at the Research Institute of Animal Production, Koluda Wielka Experimental Station. In the initial phase of the work few coloured individuals were chosen for breeding. They were mated to each other and with individuals with white fleece. Obtained progeny - white carriers of √¢‚Ǩ≈ìthe colour gene√¢‚Ǩ¬ù - were then crossed with coloured rams. In the final phase of the work 50% of obtained progeny, coloured individuals, were mated to each other. Merynos barwny The concept of “breed reported in geographic location by FAO National Coordinators” is unique to DAD-IS (https://www.fao.org/dad-is/en/).
