This VBO term should therefore be used specifically for the breed conforming to this concept. Import of foreign Prekos began in 1910, but in 1980 work on creating of our native breed at the base of Prekos, though with better wool, meat, early-maturig and adaptation qualities, began. It began with import of Australian breeds (Merino, Polwarth, Corridele) to improve wool production of adapted Prekos.
